I recently drove a 1966 MG Midget that had been converted to a right hand drive here in the states. I noticed that he gear pattern was the same as I am used to with a left hand drive. First gear to us in the states is always near the driver conversely in the right hand drive first gear was away from the driver. Where is first gear in a factory made Right Hand Drive car in Europe?
