Unfortunately a vehicle becomes used the moment you drive it off the lot.
A new car is not considered used until the title has been assigned to a owner other than the manufacturer. All vehicles are sold with the title in the manufacturers name, (gm, ford, TOYOTA) Once someone buys the car and the title paperwork has been filled out, it's used. "Driving it off the lot" happens after the paperwork has been signed.
Correct. When I bought my last new car, it had to be transferred from another dealer so I could pick it up (I wanted many extras). It had over 100 miles on it at that point, and was still new. Once the purchase was complete, at that point it became a used car, because I took title from the dealer.
I bought one being taken off the truck at the dealership and it still had 2 miles on it. It has to be drove to get from one destination to the other.
good morning jewboy...a car is still new until as cowboy said the title is transferred to another person or entity.. unless it is a demonstrator used by the dealer.. then it has to be identified by the dealer as a demonstrator... typing in all caps is considered yelling , if you have trouble seeing the small letters ...at the top of the page find,,view,, scroll down and find text size and choose a bigger sizethank you....
Sorry I must have had caps lock on when I wrote it .
your'e forgiven... all of us have done it...
Brand new vehicles can have 30 miles on them from test drives, going to gas station, being moved around on the lot, etc. Hard to buy a car right off the production line! <;-)
