If you want the most reliable transportation choose the Toyota, I've had 3 Camrys and now an Avalon), they are often described as being somewhat bland, plain vanilla, which is true although I think the styling of the new Camry is much improved. The Altima is more of a driver's car (more fun to drive, sportier) but less reliable and no where near the resale of a Toyota, any Toyota. Check this site for reviews Edmunds.com
