I completely know what you mean, My husband was parked at a strip mall in the city and while in the store someone side swiped his car. Dented in the entire driver's side rear, the gas tank area and the rim on the tire. Due to the make and model of the car it was all one piece so that meant the entire Driver's side had to be replaced, costing over $4000. We of course had to pay the deductible due to it happening in a parking lot. Talk about a bummer. The real kicker is 3 days later while driving down the interstate he hit an animal doing 80mph causing damage to the front and passengers side. So then almost 3 weeks later he now has a virtually brand new car...well the outside that is. UGH!
Hi Indiana Girl,I hate it when you have to pay for someone else's mistake, grrrBut so long as the damage is panels only then at least it's all new, it's when you bend rails and chassis that causes problems. :~)
Is Foster's really what you guys like or is that just a gimmick to sell beer to Americans? In any case try something high proof with a HORRIBLE taste. You'll forget about... what was that... oh well, I've already forgotten.Good Luck!:)
I manage a Liquor Store here in Sydney... I don't even stock Foster's Lager.Fosters make various beers, but that is not very popular here.Victoria Bitter, Carlton Draught, Cascade, Carlton Pure Blonde to name a fewGive me Bourbon, Bourbon and more ummmm Bourbon and i'm happy :~)
I see! I've only known the Foster's that is sold here, it isn't very good and I didn't think Australians would have such bad taste lol. Thanks for the run down, I doubt I'll find them here, but I'll take a look see anyway.Personally, I prefer scotch for drinking and tequila for REALLY drinking. And, of course, some good old Coors Light is never an unwelcome guest in my house.Manage a liquor store, huh? I think that might be dangerous.
I have to discipline myself otherwise it could be dangerous, lol
I would swear a lot....go pull some weeds from my garden with extra vigor....go for a run around the block....yell a lot a passersby for no apparent reason...and punch stop signs whilst making a loud "ARRRGGHHH!" sound.Sorry.....but reading your post really did make me angry....I'm sorry for your insurance woes right now...I really do hope they determine liability in your favor!Sometimes it's just hard for people to admit their "mistakes" before "judgment"...I hope she learns to look in her rearview mirror next time.
sorry.."a lot AT passersby"
Hi Trina,Thanks for answering, i did the ARRRRRGGGGHHHH thing :)
Turn it over to the insurance company as suggested and let their lawyers sort it out, if you were stopped and she was in motion, it's clearly her fault, but that will be determined if they do an investigation, depending on damage assessment determines if an investigation is warranted.
As for the stress, let them stress over it, that's why you you pay for insurance, take a valium, drink a beer, what ever floats your brain and chill.
Hi Literally Speaking,I have full insurance but with a $500 excess payment that has to be paid and will only receive it back if they are found at fault. I have photo's so i should win here i think.I had a couple of Bourbons :)
Be thankful that you are both ok and healthy... You can fix the car...:):)
It was only a low speed accident, Lisa and i are both ok, so was the other driver. Thanks :~)
I am happy :):):)
I don't. That is why I have insurance. We just went threw something similar. And Won. Now the joker want to take us to small claims court. Which is fine with me. I'll just add a counter suit. He may want to re-think his strategy!!!Still not stressing. The max in Washington State is $4,000. I could really use the money. He made many mistakes and we were was approach by a lawyer to sue him. We decided not to . Not really my way of resolving issues. No one was hurt and my car was fixed. But if he takes me to court, I can change my way of thinking! ;)
I have full insurance also, but it just irks me that she was clearly at fault and she nor the police would say it.I hope you win your case. :~)
Thanks That Guy...me too!!!!!!!
No one stepped up to volunteer.. no cameras either? might check on that.
No witnesses, no camera's.I took photo's of where the debris was located relative to where the cars were parked and where she hit me. I hope it is enough.
