Why would drivers be driving more when gas has reached it's highest.??
Boats Gas guzzlers and etc... Here in my state we are in the top 10 of states to be driving more, Why, This helps something I don't know about it? I have to watch my gas or I'd be doing without something. Just thought people wanted gas to go down!!!! Please clue me in kindly!!!!!!!!!

depends on what state you're in but people probably figure
A. gas isn't getting cheaper so get out there now and see want you want to see
B. everything nowadays relies on cars, buying stuff, food, entertainment, driving to work to get more money to spend on gas, etc
C. cars are getting more fuel efficient so driving isn't as bad as it would be in a Prius compared to a 90's SUV or cadillac

In the face of relative proof, and 'all things being equal, the simplest solution is the best', we have believed we could hitch the sun to a post, that the sun stars and planets revolved around the earth, that the earth was flat, that 'here be dragons', that witches sink and good christians float despite stone weights. Falling quite into line; 'Global warming ain't real' 'Man can't have that kind of effect on the planet' 'We may have done it but there is nothing we can do now' and my personal favorite 'we're all going to die in 2012 anyway, why not?'

I haven't noticed that in my area but some people have to drive because of their job. Electricians, plumbers, roofers etc
