People do it all the time, it all depends on how bad you want it, and how well you prepare your self for the change. Some changes come as a natural progression of life or gained knowledge, others demand education and or training but changes can be and are made at any age.
why are you former member, or non of my business?.....
yes they can... I knew a woman who went to law school when she was her 40s'
yes you can do anything you want to do, if you want it bad enough.. go for it..
I plan too, If I retire from the military at 38, which is fairly close, I will be changing carreers and alot of guys like that get hired in an instant!
mark...my nephew was in the USAF for 11 years and went to nite school the whole time...when he separated from the AirForce....he TRIPLED his income doing the same thing he did while active!
yes>i started working in the oil fields at 52 after working with the state highway dept for 27 years
That is very well a pretty good time to change careers, find your passion and enjoy what you want to do for a change............the 40's are very good years..
well ya heard wrong...........dont believe that for one second....u can be and do anything u wanna be and do no matter what ue age...if u have the desire to do so.
sure my wife and I are 68 and have changed careers probably 5 times.
It's possible...I know someone who went from being a commercial jet pilot, to a nurse after 40?
it is quite possible....just be realistic with what you want to change to ( for example, you cant be a brain surgeon if you have shaky hands ) ....
I think age does not matter for achieving something.
a lot of people are getting into new careers the last few years, with all the factory closings around me, people are being forced to go back to school since there are no other jobs around. alot of the people I know are in their 30's and 40's and lost their job of 10 years or more and have no other choice but to go back to school and learn a new profession, one that will be more stable in the area
