Things are changing very fast out here. Anything new can be obsolete in two years, so you can imagine how hard it would be to say what courses would the most useful for a nfour year program. I think that you should consider choosing the program that offers the most 'hands on' learning to give you more 'real world' information (which would be more 'up to date'). Some schools are very big on getting you part time apprentice jobs as part of the studies. Some schools have classes that do hi-tech projects (and get national recognition). I think that either type would be a good first choice.
Computer technolgy, my son took the course.
It depends on how far you want to go with your career. If you want to be a computer engineer with a four year degree you will learn both the hardware part and a lot of software as well. Upon graduation you would have a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Computer Engineering. The salary for this type of position is very lucrative.
If it were me asking that question, I would call the department heads in each department. College is a business, and they want yours; they'll take the time to help you...
Just decide to become System Engineer or Hardware Engineer. I m also same Designation..
