I personally have never driven a car over 75 miles per hour. Even that was scarey to me. I have however been in a car where the driver was going close to 100 mph. I did not feel comfortable with this at all.
When I was a teen I was a pure fool boy I drove at terrible high speeds over 100mph I was very reckless.I thank God for keeping me safe,I was not ready to meet him then. But I am now.
When I was in my teens, my big brother bet me my car couldn't go 100. So...100. I had my '97 VFR up to 150 once, only once.
I am a hp i am going to give you a ticket for 150mphJust kidding lol friend.
I've pushed my Volvo 960 (2.9l inline 6, 180hp, stock...six in a row means GO!) up to 132 on a downhill. It isn't good for more than 120 on level ground. No passengers were involved, so I only have a photo my my scangauge reading 132 for authentication. (I drive within the law with passengers -- refuse to endanger others).Mind, this was done in almost nonexistent traffic on a rural interstate highway. I don't do stuff like that when there's a chance of anyone other than me getting hurt, period.I'll routinely set the cruise control at 105-110 on the aforementioned rural interestates when it's late at night, traffic is light, and it isn't a holiday weekend (when the highway patrol increases the number of cruisers on the roads). I see no real danger in doing this. I keep my car in good condition with V-rated tires, aftermarket brakes, regular tune ups and chassis lubrication. I also just replaced the struts/shocks, which really stabilized the car in corners and at high speeds. It was a bit iffier before that.At any rate, I think I'm just as dead losing control or hitting a deer at 80mph as I am at 100. My heritage is German, so I guess speed is just in my blood. Not reckless speed, either. I don't street race, weave between lanes, tailgate, or take corners at the limit of my car's ability. I am considerate of others on the road, but I *will* turn a blind eye to the speed limit when the opportunity presents itself.
