Concept cars are used to gage the public/media reception to design and ideas. This can go either one way or another...!
If the reception is good, then they may make as seen - although this will normally end up being altered in some ways and some parts of the designs being kept.
If the receptions are bad, then back to the drawing board.
Overall, its to gage public/media opinion and can help with positive PR work.

concept cars are made to get feedback from the public and based on the feedback modifications are made if the response is positive or scraped if the response is negative.

I liked the camero concept car 2 years ago and I am wondering if it wll come out.
