Why do people like to use the neon purplish bright lights on their cars? Isn't it annoying?

I hate it when your driving on the interstate and you see a car coming in the opposite direction with the bright purplish lights and it blinds you from paying full attention to the road. Why do people like this?

The lights are white lights for off road use only. There is legal versions available just not as annoying. Some of the focused beams give the appearance of these bulbs but are legal dot approved lights. If you can see and others can't how are you any safer on the highway. Risking a head on collision for your own improved visibility is not to smart in my opinion.

I like them. They look really cool in my opinion. I just don't see them ever. When I DO see them, they are usually at a car show. I don't live in Los Angeles you know.

because really they are LEDs. They help the driver see alot better. They are illeagle in most new cars now because they anyone driving towards them can't see. Sorry the fast and the furious has nothing to do with this those are under carrige lights and they look cool but they're not suposed to be there either.
