http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20081218/lf_nm_life/us_jobs_doctors_survey
Randy:

I'm not sure about that, because people has different perspective to those, some one would say Police is most respected, some one else "Doctor" and another one "teacher" and...
I think any Job is respected, if the man/woman in the Job work for good reasons. and if he/she do his Job in the best way, a "Doctor" can be disrespected if don't care for what are doing...

CowBoy Slim:

I think the most respected jobs are positive and the most disrespected jobs are negative.

JemaH:

Respected.... Soldiers
Disrespected....soldiers.... outside of that I love Omids answer

?mom?:

I think soldiers should be right up there at the top

HI ya randy!!!

JemaH:

hiya mom... you are adorable in that dress!

Sunni:

The most disrespected job is the job of cleaning without a doubt!
The most respected for me are the nurses. The doctors have gained little respect from me.

?mom?:

and those a both good useful jobs... everyone needs them :))

.......:

Nurses are the hard grinders and 'get'r'dun" workers!

Queen_Aquarius:

All jobs should be respected if done in an appropriate manner.

?mom?:

you would think so wouldnt ya... but it doesnt always happen that way

Headache:

disrespected-migrant farm workers
respected-people who help others for humanitarian purposes and not for profit, and that covers many titles.....nurse, care giver, hospice workers
At least, those are MY choices

Headache:

i was going to say clowns, as they may fit into both categories

?mom?:

I think clowns are just fine... not disrespectful at all

?mom?:

thanks julie

Almustapha:

most disrespected: telemarketers
respected: (don't laugh) construction workers. i'll explain; i have never met someone who has talked bad about a construction worker. they are out there in the blazing heat working with dangerous materials often by streets with cars whizzing by.

Redneck Rev:

That is because telemarketers are disrespectful!! :)))

?mom?:

telemarketers do have a bad rep dont they.. I think construction workers are one of the best too:)))

Almustapha:

QA = true true, but i had some friends who were in the telemarket business and they got out of it because they were treated like crap! lol but yes there are some annoying tele's out there!

Redneck Rev:

I think lawyers or teachers or police officers are most disrespected jobs but I could go on. I really don't know any jobs that are respected!! I can't think of anybody in any occupation who doesn't have at least one complaint against them.

?mom?:

thanks!!!

.......:

Disrespected: Politicians emerging from the Chicago machine.
Respected: The unsung people that contribute to the world around them, their families and the unknown.

?mom?:

thanks!!

Sunni:

Disrespected: Politicians emerging from the Chicago machine!
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Huey:

If any of you have ever been a general cleaner in a warehouse/distribution center/industrial situation then u have known disrespect. If u are a contracted in company it's that much worse because u  are an outsider. The things that "normal" human beings are capable of is unreal. Cleaners deal with bio-hazards every day and are the lowest paid person on the list.
