No. Profit is at the root of the Capitalist system. No profit, no investment in future research, development and all other capital expenditures. You need capital to "expend". Capital comes from past and current profits.
I thought about it. If they didn't make a profit they wouldn't be a business. If all of our business' failed to profit we would be back to bartering. That's cool with me though. Hard to tax a barter(harder)
Unfortunately, barter is easy to tax- those kinds of transactions are called "like kind exchanges", and are taxable under the Internal Revenue Code. We can't win, here !
