Yes , it sounds like fowl play if it was there when the fire dept was there they would have found it .So what was it this family member found and what do you think about it, do you think there trying to hurt the investigation or help you?

Sounds like a good mystery story to me. Yes, I would find this suspicious. Fifteen hours later anything could have been planted inside the house. If the house wasn't burned to the ground but only damaged it is even more of a mystery.

nahhhhhhhhhhhhh it really doesnt sound suspicous to me, what would the point be in someone saying that the house was burned down? if they committed it, no insurance money - perhaps for a grudge, that would be my only guess. If someone is accused of this, i would think if they are innocent, they would have a alibi as to where they would be at the time.
