Do you not have a Networks Connections Wizzard program pre-installed? Ask search to find instructions or seek per, help and settings option. Be extremely careful and go microsoft search or windows live for answers. Best 'a luck. Butter

install lan card in your old computer and connect to your laptop, set networking between them and transfer your file.
you need lan card/ ethernet card in both computer and networking direct cable to connect them.

You can do what kash suggested above or:

Put everything you want onto CDs and transfer it that way.

or

Ghost the hard drive on your old computer and copy it to the new hard drive.

If your OS is Windows XP, you can find the "File Transfer Wizard" at Start/all programs/accessories/system tools/File and program transfer wizard.
