Got robbed last week, caught the thief, pressed charges. 1st hearing today do I need an attorney?

Thief claims the job site was too tempting and that's why he robbed me!

The prosecutor is your attorney. You don't need one. The thief needs a defense attorney.

He will probably show up with one...was he arrested? If so, he may show up with a court appointed attorney. You may not need one, but I would certainly contact one for options. Most attorneys give free first consultation.
