Can do I Averaging between spreadsheets in Excel 2003

I am accruing numerical data on separate Spreadsheets and wish to run an average over last three months.
David:

Try:
Average(SheetName!A1:A10)
Assuming the block is in A1 through A10

Ed:

I don't see why not. Formulas don't really care where the data is coming from.

Dan:

Thank you. How do I do that???

Ed:

Just open all the spreadsheets where the data is coming from.
In the Cell where you want to put the average in, enter
=average(
Then, with the mouse, select the range in the first spreadsheet
press the comma key (,)
Then select the range in the second spreadsheet with the mouse, and press comma
...repeat until you have all the data you want in the average formula
Close the function by pressing )
Then hit enter to enter the formula.
The process is really the same, no matter where the data is coming from....always start with =, then if you are using a function name, enter it and use ( to open the parameters, select the data with the mouse or keyboard, and close the parameters with the ). This works on the same spreadsheet, different tabs, or different files.
