The Chairperson of the Board must be a business representative, and the Board must have a majority of business members. This assures that private employers have a strong "voice at the table".The WIB Board of Directors is the policy maker for programs that serve Adults, Youth, and Dislocated Workers (who have lost their jobs due to plant closures or layoffs.) The Board is also responsible for overseeing a 27-member collaboration of educational, training, and employment-related entities that operate the Solano Employment Connection (SEC).
