Who preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ?

Which of these sounds right to you?1. Jesus preached the "Kingdom Gospel," and Paul preached the "Gospel of Jesus Christ."2. Paul wrote some letters, and Jesus preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ.I ask this question because it was Paul who said: "Christ died for our sins." On the other hand, Jesus raised the subject of the Kingdom over 30 times (his gospel), and did not say a word about blood for sin. His gospel was about seeking a "treasure hid in a field." (This question is from the "Gospel Enigma" e-book.)So which sounds right to you, one or two?

MamaV:

In Christianity, a gospel (from Old English, "good news") is generally one of four canonical books of the New Testament that describe the birth, life, ministry, crucifixion, and resurrection of Jesus, but also encompasses numerous non-canonical texts, see list of gospels.
The four canonical texts are the Gospels according to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, probably written between 65 and 100 AD. More generally, the term refers to works of a genre of Early Christian literature. It originally meant the "good news" (evangelium) of redemption.

Kellie:

Jesus could not have preached the "Gospel of Jesus Christ" The term "Christ: which is Greek was not used in reference to Jesus until thirty years after his death and then His followers were called Christians. The original followers of Jesus of Nazareth were called "Followers of the Way". His disciples were still mostly Jews and not called Christians.

Kellie:

No. 1 sounds accurate to me.

Like most debates, Often attention is given to the negatives, (ie.= this is not that) and little point is made to the positive (ie.= this is this) In so far as discerning one from the other, (ie.= Who preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ?) the indicator (strickly grammatical) that causes the problem is in the word "Preached" and its usage and definition..) needs definition. As I see it Jesus "Lived" his Life and said many things" but it is the life of Jesus in total and purpose, that might be in consideration within the context of Gospel. Thus another "indicator" is the Definition and use of "Gospel", Also Jesus spoke of the dangers of attending to the word and not the spirit. As to the treasure in the field, Jesus spoke many times with a two edged sword, his words cut away at both sides of the stance and usually exposed a silent inward understanding, that was the "Heaven and Kingdom" that we come to understand and "Kingdom of God"..Thus by his word we will brought to this Kingdom, through his gospel are do we hear the call of our shepherd. Others will not. Jesus took issue with the quibblers of the law, the Pharasees and warned not to partake of the bread from them, the yeast was tainted with hot air that does not belong to the substance of the truth of the spirit. The "words" instead of the "spirit" or understanding. Gods Kingdom, no matter what it is called, as other Philosophies indicate also, is as....was exposed by Jesus, Lao Tzu, Buddah, and many others...Jesus used double edged clarity like Ochams Razor, that which does not belong here, is pared away, what is left we may not recognize because we have not seen or felt it before. Thus Jesus open the gates of Heaven,...Peace

Like a Pomagrante, Ugly and hard and brittle on the outside, not inviting really at all. When Opened reveals its treasures, well protected and alive, containing sustenance for the now (fruity juicy part) and sustenance for the future (seeds) and increase of both, by the search within. "Seek you not among the mountains and heeps in the valleys, (should I really have to explain that?) (Mountains = lofty thoughts of grandeur, and valleys, heeped with all the yesterdays, garbage...Look within, for there is the Kingdom of God, and the Rhealms of Heaven." qoute me. Peace....

Valentin Alsina News:

Hi lakely----everything Jesus did while here on earth was to fulfill the law---He fulfilled it in our place----He lived in our place---He died in our place and He lives again. Paul is the Friend of God. What He wrote glorifies Jesus Christ. The death burial and resurrection glorify Jesus. Go back to the Old Testament if need be-----it all works together----God created the scritpures to work TOGETHER in that fashion.

Tangent Bill:

Both Jesus and Paul preached the Gospel. The Gospel is the good news that Jesus died and rose again so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. Jesus told people to put their faith in Him, and Paul and many Christians since have gone out into the world to preach that same good news.
