Will your children get 1 Big Easter Basket, or do they receive several?

When I was a kid Easter was a "family" thing. Each of us kids got just one basket. Now-a-days kids might also get a basket from the neighbor, grandpa & grandma, aunts & uncles, etc. How about yours?

When they were little they got one from the Easter Bunny. Then my parents being the unrealistic divorced parents as they are , would each give my kids one when they went to their house. After a few years of this B.S. We had Easter celebration at our house where both my parents attended and the kids would go on one easter egg hunt. I let my parents supply the goodies.And suprise to me they would get along for the grand kids. Too bad they didn't do that for us!

My children get one BIG basket each. I shop around and find cute little trinkets to put in their baskets. It s a given that each of the four children will get every year. My oldest (11) knows about the secret but still plays along for the sake of her brothers. But every year they get sandles, shorts, bubbles, sunglasss, and peeps. My husband and I do not let the kids have a bunch of candy so instead we fill their baskets will other goodies. Like the things they need and the little things that kids find amusing.

Very smart! We basically got the same when we were little. There were 6 of us, but what we got was a lot better than just candy. Now-a-days I see 3, sometimes 4 baskets for just one child and it blows me away. Thanks for sharing!

When I was younger I always got a basket from my Grandparents and the Easter bunny..I love Easter and It's meaning it is the most cheerful holiday out there:)

My girls always get a basket from my husband's aunt & uncle, and from the grandparents. We must have about 10 baskets in the house and our girls are only 3 and 5.

What does everyone think about divorced parents both providing easter baskets? I have two step children and one biologicial child with my husband. This year, the older two will be with their Mother on Easter morning and then, will spend Easter afternoon with us. Of course, they will wake up to find easter baskets at their Mom's house, yet my husband still thinks it is necessary to have big baskets at our house as well. I think there are two problems with this. a. we dont have an extra $50 to spend on treats right now and b. we spend money on things that they have two of. Why cant we trade every other year just like we do with the schedule? The tooth fairy visits two houses, the easter bunny visits two houses, the birthday godess visits every house imaginable. Am I wrong in thinking that we should use the years that they are with their mom to save a little extra money and just do a small Easter celebration with dessert once they come home?
