Look here dad...if you can do it, she can too!!!! :0)
thank you!!
welcome!
lol!
I can sympathize with you but I doubt that your Dad will pay much attention to what we say on this site.
he doesn't know about this site...... *sigh* he'll never understand!
I don't know what a firefy is, but if you want a cell phone, give him a list of why you need it and what it does for him and how you will be responsible with it. Let me get you started:1) You could use it in an emergency2) You would never use it in school3) He could call you to check up on youThat may be better than telling him that you "NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED" it
i've told him those 3 plus a hundred more!!! he just doesn't get it!!!
seems dad has his mind made up on this one. so trying to convince him would be like pulling teeth from someone that has none. huh? it's not going to happen. maybe you have to prove to him that you are a responsible person. can you afford a prepay from your allowance? that's a good starter phone. but anyway, good luck my dear.
i can afford it, but i have no allowance. they don't believe in it. he also thinks i can't pay for my own things! how foolish!
well there has to be some reason as to why. but i am not one to question a parent's authority. maybe he's planning on getting you one for a present. who knows? i must say, they do have some advantages. as soon as the kids in my family can make a phone call, they get the little prepay at wal-mart. but that's just how we operate. give him time.
How old are you. If you are under 16 I say no.
yeah, but i NEEEEEEEEED it, i live 2 1/2 mi from school and if the afterschool bus is canceled i don't have a phone now do i?
See, I don't think that is a good reason to include on your list. I'm sure that the school has a phone that you can use if the bus is cancelled.
it doesn't!!! they DO NOT let students call, they're idiots! if they did, i wouldn't need a phone!
When I was a child we didn't have school buses. I had to walk 3 miles to school, uphill both ways in all kinds of wheather. Your a wimp!
The average person walks a mile in 15 minutes. That means you're only a 38 minute walk from school. Sounds like a good way to get some exercise in at the end of the day. A half-hour or so stroll never hurt anyone.
i know i know but my parents don't let me walk! i would if i couuld! i woldn't mind a stroll through the park, because it's right next to school... lol! anyways, i got my phone, what a coincidence!
Someone can convince your dad, but it's probably not me. He has no reason to listen to me. Try an appeal to grandma. Sometimes the parent of your parent is your ally.
i'd have to use my mom's mom or.... well her. because i don't have a real relationship with my other grandma right now!
That is truly unfortunate. If there is anything you can do to mend that relationship (unless it was in some way abusive) I encourage you to do so. We rarely have our grandparents as long as we would like to, and almost always regret anything that kept us apart when we are no longer able to communicate with them.
If you don't have a car, then you probably don't need a chell phone.
