With Freedom comes responsibility. People are responsible for what they say, and read. If one only writes vulgarity then they shouldn't be suprised when others see them as a vulgar, person. If you go on the internet to the "F-this" page, then you are responsible for choosing what you read. We all know that the internet caontains some of the most offensive content anywhere. Just be prepared to see it. Don't try to stop it, just be aware of it, and avoid it if possible. If your offended by something: Good, some things should offend people of even sensibilities. Everyone will be offended at some point in thier lives. Savor the moment, feel the emotion, and go on. It's part of life, everyone goes through it, it'll make you a more complete person.

Thanks I can appreciate that perspective. The sad thing is if this last particular site had alot to say even without the vulgarity and would have been valuable material without it!

Yes, that is truly free speech. Prime time is not free, it's very expensive.

Just don't go there if you don't like it! Why start another ban on things like the liberals did with Huckleberry Finn? Is censorship what you want?

Its free speech, it is not against the law. And in case you haven't heard there's porn on here too! You have the choice not to go to the sites that offend you.

Well should there be more ways to block them? This fits perfectly into why I am researching this because of what children are exposed to there is more child violence. The effects of media are no doubt a contributer.

Sadly, its not agaisnt the law. And also, it was in the internet, where no single country can own it.

So impossible to be banned like here ;) I know some of the stuff on here would find a hard time finding a printer or publisher for a hardcopy.

I think the internet affects bigger than tv ever thought about.

You can purchase softwear that will block any site you want.

you are right I should have search it instead but I needed a reaction on censorship to spike up my research vocabulary for a paper I'm doing- good answer on looking into it, critical thinker at work!
