kindly let me know the differences between chinese charecters/letters and Greek or Tamil letters and charecters as well.. thanks in advance

Chinese use characters, or symbols, to represent a singular concept or idea like an emotion or action. Whereas letters themselves only have grammatical meaning. Combined coherently they convey whatever the author desired to communicate. English is considered to be one of the most descriptive languages but we only use 26 letters. Chinese use over 600 different symbols, or characters.

Technically speaking a character can be anything inscribed on something that is used as a visual reference. It doesn't have to be a letter or symbol. Hope that helps
