It's not " a seperate island from the UK". it is seperate from Great Britain, but an intergal part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland.

And the only way it will be whole again, would be if the Republic of Ireland ever decided to end the partition it forced on the UK, and rejoin the rest of us.

Strangely enough, here in Scotland we get RSPCC (prevention of child cruelty mob) adverts that clearly state in writing that none of the money received will help children in Scotland, yet they play the advert here, very strange.

We also have female-only car insurance companies which refuse service to men based purely on their gender, if that's not discrimination, then I'm at a loss as to what discrimination really means.

I don't know the real reason for the NI thing, although I don't think it's discriminatory. It's a part of Britain after all, it doesn't really make much sense.
